Booking & Important Information

How do I book my tickets?

  • All festival events can be booked directly through the What’s On section of the website
  • Events that are taking place at Strand Arts Centre can be booked: in person at 152-154 Holywood Road, Belfast; by phone (for Strand Arts Centr events ONLY) on 028 9065 5830 and online at www.strandartscentre.com
  • Ticket sales for Live at C.S. Lewis Square events will close at 5pm on the day of the event. We cannot accept walk-ups.
  • Tickets sales for in-person events will close 2 hours before the event commences. We cannot accept walk-ups to any venues apart from Strand Arts Centre (tickets subject to availability on the day of the event)

This year you can enjoy EastSide Arts Festival events in 3 different ways:

  • Attend in person at one of our festival venues
  • Watch an online event in real time, as it happens, on your phone, tablet or PC
  • Watch an online event On Demand, at any point after the live event has happened, for the duration of the festival.

This year we are introducing a Digital Festival Pass which provides you access to all of the online events, to watch live as they occur or On Demand at a time that suits you, for the duration of the festival; Purchase Digital Festival Pass

When you book an ‘in-person’ event

  • You will receive an email confirming your booking. Just turn up at the venue 10 or 15 minutes before the event is due to begin and give your name to one of the festival team. You do not need to bring a print-out of the confirmation
  • To allow for track and trace and ensure we comply with Covid-19 guidelines, all events must be booked in advance and we won’t be able to sell tickets on the door. All ‘in-person’ sales will close one hour before the event takes place so please be sure to book your ticket in time!

When you book an online event

  • You will receive an email confirming your booking immediately
  • You will receive a link to the event 48 hours before the event starts
  • You will receive a reminder about the event 3 hours before the event starts
  • If you have any problems accessing the event, email info@accidentaltheatre.co.uk and the fantastic team at Accidental Theatre, who are working with us to deliver our online programme, will help you out.

Covid-19 Precautions

As we come out of lockdown we are really excited about the opportunity to bring the festival to you in both indoor and outdoor venues, as well as online. When we are meeting in person (both indoors and outdoors) we will make your safety, and that of our artists, volunteers, staff and venue partners our priority, and all events will be Covid-19 compliant. To ensure this, we have put the following measures in place:

  • Indoor venue capacities are set in line with government guidelines with reduced capacities to allow for social distancing as per legal requirements.  We are not asking you to sit in bubbles, but visitors to Strand Arts Centre will be asked to sit in allocated seats as per their booking, in line with cinema guidelines
  • At all of our indoor events, festival staff and volunteers will wear face coverings
  • At both indoor and outdoor events, hand sanitisation will be available at the point of entry and exit
  • We ask that you please wear a face covering when queuing for indoor events, if you leave your seat for any reason to move around the venue, and when you leave the venue at the end of the events
  • In line with current legislation, events at Willowfield Parish Church, St. Patrick's Church and ArtisAnn Gallery require those attending to wear a face covering
  • We will regularly review Covid-19 guidelines and respond to updates accordingly
  • (Negative Covid-19 test results or proof of vaccination will not be required)

To assist us in keeping everyone safe we would ask that you DO NOT attend any in-person events if you have any symptoms of Covid-19, have tested positive for Covid-19, or have been in recent contact with anyone who has tested positive.

Refunds

Festival tickets cannot be refunded other than in the case of event cancellation, in which case all refunds can only be issued from the point of purchase. Should Covid-19 guidelines change in any way that would make it impossible for EastSide Arts to deliver any of the festival events in their current format, these events will be cancelled and tickets will be fully refunded.

Accessibility

As far as possible we are using venues that are fully accessible, but not all venues are wheelchair accessible, so please let us know at the point of purchase if you have any special requirements so we can ensure your comfort at the event.  We offer 1 complimentary ticket for customers that require a Personal Assistant to attend an event. To request a Personal Assistant ticket please email eastsidearts@eastsidepartnership.com

Seating

All seating is unallocated (unless specific venue information states otherwise) therefore operates on a first come, first served basis, and seats cannot be reserved other than in cases of special requirements.  The exception to this rule is Strand Arts Centre which uses a seat allocation system to ensure social distancing compliance.
