EastSide Choir

The EastSide Choir was formed in 2016 as an initiative of EastSide Arts, the main aim to offer people living and working in east Belfast the opportunity to become part of a new community choir.

In the time that is has been running the choir have grown quickly to a group of over 30 with new members joining all the time.  Around the Christmas season they are busy carolling at a variety of community events in east Belfast but the choir have also performed in events such as the Christmas Tree Light Switch on in Stormont Main Hall, the Live Here Love Here Celebrations and Volunteer Now celebration for Volunteer week, both in The Harbour Commissioners Office.

Led by Choir Director Ryan Greer the choir usually meets to rehearse between 7pm-9pm on Tuesday evenings in St Clements Church, who kindly offer their space free of charge.  EastSide Choir is free and open to anyone of all ages and backgrounds to join, there is no audition and no previous experience is necessary, only a passion for singing is required.

More recently EastSide Choir delivered their first solo performance as a part of the EastSide Arts Festival 2019, supported by Women Aloud NI whose members wrote short stories in response to the songs chosen.

The choir always welcome new members and look forward to all kinds of performances so if you would like to join or would like some information on how to book the EastSide Choir at your event, contact aimee@eastsidepartnership.com today.
