Age of the Microwave Dinner is Colin Hassard's new show and the name of the album he’s recorded with his band Dirty Words which is being launched at this special event. Expect laughter, inspiration and an entertaining evening of poetry and music. 
 
This year Colin was Runner Up in the Seamus Heaney Award for New Writing and was selected as one of Eyewear Publishing's Best New British and Irish Poets. Colin is poet-in-residence for BBC Radio Ulster show ‘Science & Stuff’ and is currently developing his first collection of poems with support from the Arts Council NI.
 
Dirty Words are a poetry, rock and jazz collective. Their first single was a ‘Track of the Day’ on BBC Radio Ulster’s Across the Line and the band have performed at the Imagine Festival, the C.S. Lewis Festival, Sunflowerfest, and as the closing act for the NI Human Rights Festival.
