EastSide Voices - Communities Shaped by Conflict

Mon 6 Aug
Meet at EastSide Visitor Centre

2 PM (approx. 3 hours)

For the first time, three community organisations from both Unionist and Nationalist backgrounds have come together to share their stories of violence, division, pain, resilience and everyday life against a backdrop of conflict. This guided tour will explore how centuries of domestic and international conflict have deeply impacted these communities and ultimately led to division and segregation. We will take in the architectural legacy of conflict through the years in the form of numerous murals as well as the physical ‘peace lines’ still in existence across east Belfast today.
