Conn O’Neill, the ill-starred Gaelic lord of east Belfast, secret meetings of Protestant Irish speakers at Mountpottinger, a Catholic family raised in Irish on the Castlereagh Road in the 1950’s, the Gaelic source of the name Glentoran, the quest for the long-lost Castlereagh castle and the invisible boundaries between the old Gaelic lands of Ballymaccarret and Ballyhackamore.
