It's a Marvellous Night... Celtic Soul play 'Moondance'

13 Aug 2021
C.S.Lewis Square

8.30pm (doors 7.30pm)

Featuring Celtic Soul and an acoustic set from Ken Haddock, Matt McGinn and Amanda St. John

Our birthday celebration for Moondance - postponed by Covid last summer – returns for a 50+1 birthday party featuring the mighty Celtic Soul in concert, and an acoustic opening half from unplugged artists Ken Haddock, Matt McGinn and Amanda St. John. They will each offer three songs - an acoustic ‘take’ on a Moondance favourite, another Van the Man classic, and a song of their own. After the break, the fabulous Celtic Soul – famed for their live renditions of Van Morrison’s hit-laden back catalogue - will play the classic album from start to finish, including full-band takes of classics like the title track, ‘Into the Mystic’ and ‘Caravan’ – and round the evening off with an encore selection of Van classics.

This special event, performed live at CS Lewis Square, will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of Celtic Soul.

Celtic Soul are: Clarke Wilson on Vocals and Saxophone, Ray McEvoy (Electric Guitar), Marcus McAuley (Acoustic Guitar), Rik Gay (Drums), Keith Ward (Piano and keyboards), Gerry McClurg (Trumpet) and Mark Crockard (Electric and Double Bass)

Join us in the iconic surroundings of CS Lewis Square for one of four memorable nights of live outdoor music; we will provide a full bar and hot food stalls and a brilliant line up of musicians that can’t wait to get back on stage and do what they do best, just for you. You just need to bring suitable clothing to stay warm and dry outdoors if the sun isn’t splitting the skies, and a folding chair if you would prefer not be to on your feet all night.
