Often when we walk around East Belfast, we look down or even, heaven forbid, at the people we’re with, so sometimes we miss the top of buildings. This leisurely 90-minute ‘Look up East Belfast’ walking tour features numerous East Belfast buildings which most of us have probably driven past hundreds of times but never looked to the top of.
Stops will include the old YMCA buildings which contain a stunning mosaic sign above the main entrance, and a fine terrace with the royal coat of arms above the main entrance both on the Albertbridge Road, as well as an unusual figure over the main entrance of Mountpottinger Presbyterian Church which appears to feature a head wearing a crash helmet!
