Silver Screenings are weekly classics at Strand Arts Centre chosen with seniors in mind but open to anyone who loves great movies! An American road action-comedy film starring Burt Reynolds, Sally Field and Jackie Gleason. The film follows two bootleggers attempting to illegally transport 400 cases of Coors beer from Texarkana to Atlanta. While ‘Snowman’ drives the truck carrying the beer, ‘Bandit’ drives a Pontiac Trans Am to distract law enforcement (called blocking) and keep the attention off Snowman. During their run, they are pursued by a pesky Texas county sheriff Buford T. Justice.
