A large part of our Special Focus strand is our work with and for older people in East Belfast.
‘CreativiTEA Thursdays’ are free, dementia-friendly arts workshops for older people in the area which aim to support wellbeing, reduce isolation and create more accessible opportunities to explore creativity.
From June to July 2022, we will be running weekly arts workshops in the Arts Care Workshop Space on the Newtownards Road. Led by wonderful artists the sessions are relaxed and in a supportive environment and even include tea and biccies thrown in for good measure!
Due to capacity, registration for these workshops is essential so please look at the information below to find out how to sign up! (Carers are also welcome to accompany participants if needed)
CRAFTING with Redhead Thread
Join Kirsty from Redhead Thread for a 4 week programme of crafting using lots of different techniques including printing, sewing and mosaics.

CERAMICS with Anne
Join ceramics artist Anne for a 4 week programme of ceramics using lots of different techniques with clay to create tiles that remind you of good times.
