1. Introduction

1.1. These Terms and Conditions govern the “EastSide Arts Social Media Competition” (the “Competition”) run by EastSide Arts, a charity located in East Belfast, United Kingdom (the “Organiser”). By participating in the Competition, entrants (“Participants”) agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

  1. Eligibility

2.1. The Competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom who are aged 18 years or older, except employees of the Organiser and their immediate family members.

  1. How to Enter

3.1. To enter the Competition, Participants must comment below the designated Competition post on the Organiser’s or Partner’s official social media accounts, explaining how they engage with the arts in the community.

  1. Entry Period

4.1. The Competition begins on the 1st day of each calendar month and ends on the last day of the same month (the “Entry Period”). The competition will cease at 11.59pm the last day of the calendar month. Any entries received after this date will not be eligible. EastSide Arts may, at its discretion, with prior notice given on this webpage, extend the Entry Period after the last day of the calendar month. 

  1. Winner Selection

5.1. Each month, one winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during that month. The winner will be chosen by the Organiser.

  1. Prize

6.1. The winner will receive local vouchers, the details and value of which will be specified by the Organiser. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item.

  1. Winner Notification

7.1. The selected winner will be notified via direct message on the social media platform through which they entered the Competition. The winner must respond to the notification within 7 days to claim their prize.

  1. Publicity

8.1. By entering the Competition, Participants agree to allow the Organiser to use their name and likeness for promotional purposes related to the Competition and the EastSide Arts, without additional compensation.

  1. Data Protection

9.1. The Organiser will collect and process Participants’ personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. By entering the Competition, Participants consent to the Organiser using their personal data for the purpose of administering the Competition and announcing the winner.

  1. General Conditions

10.1. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these Terms and Conditions without notice in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.

10.2. The Organiser’s decision regarding all matters related to the Competition is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

10.3. Participants must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when entering the Competition.

  1. Governing Law

11.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

By entering the Competition, Participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This competition is in no way associated with Facebook, Meta or its partners.
